A Life with Inner Logic
I was born in South Africa and came to Sydney in 1967.
For women of my generation, the path was largely decided for me. The school I attended, the subjects I studied, the profession I would follow. I was taken out of school early and sent to learn secretarial skills. You did not question this. You did not stand out. You got on with it.
I got on with it.
I spent four decades in the corporate world, moving from secretarial work through to management across a range of organisations. No matter what I did, I gave it my absolute best. That has never changed.
But underneath the competence, questions were accumulating.
Not loudly.
Not dramatically.
With a quiet insistence that would not leave.
What am I actually here for?
What is this restlessness asking of me?
For a long time, I managed those questions rather than answered them. What changed, eventually, was that I stopped being able to ignore what I already knew.
FROM THE BOOK:
"Age is spunk, not junk."
Gateway to the Soul
The Courage to Change
My marriage gave me so much. A family, a shared life, years that mattered until they no longer did. Over time, something had quietly stopped moving. No real growth, no real satisfaction, no sense that either of us was becoming more fully ourselves within it.
It had, honestly, run its course.
The courage to act on what I knew came unexpectedly, through observing someone else’s life and recognising what I did not want mine to become.
I chose differently.
Something in me had already said yes before my mind had caught up.
“We usually know, long before we act. The longing is there first.”
The Opening of a Doorway
The inner journey had already been underway for years.
A book found its way to me. Joseph Murphy’s The Power of Your Subconscious Mind gave language to things I had sensed but never said aloud. It was the opening of a doorway.
I enrolled in an energetic healing course alongside my everyday corporate work and this expanded to include reflexology. The internal nudge was too strong and what followed was 30 years of immersive study exploring Eastern and Western philosophies. Not as knowledge to collect, but as a way of living. Through workshops, retreats, meditation and sustained personal inquiry, something began to clarify.
In 1994, a profound awakening experience shifted the direction of everything.
In 2004, I left the corporate world and established my own practice.
Working directly with people, session after session, year after year, teaches what no book can. The body tells the truth long before the mind is ready.
Transformation does not need to be forced. It unfolds when awareness deepens.
Knowledge becomes understanding.
Understanding becomes wisdom.
Wisdom becomes the way you live.
“The body tells the truth long before the mind is ready.”

Writing it Down

In 2022, at 78, I published my first book, Gateway to the Soul.
I wrote Gateway to the Soul because I had lived through experiences I could no longer explain or ignore.
Whilst discussing this with a dear friend (who is now past) he made me promise I would write this book. I kept that promise and his wife received the first signed copy.
It is the story of what opened in me when I finally stopped looking outward for answers, and began to look within. The answers were always there. All I had to do was gain the courage to see them for what they were.
This book is an invitation to explore what might be possible beyond the life you think you know.
In 2024, at 80, my second book, The Opening, followed.
The Opening came to me at a time when I felt something more needed to be said, not just about awakening, but about what it asks of us in daily life.
I wasn’t expecting to write a second book, but this inner urge was too strong.
It was not enough to have glimpsed something deeper, the real work was leaning into it.
A set of statements formed the basis of what brought the book to life. It asks us to release our hold on what was and instead be open to what is and what will be.
“There is more clarity available to me now than I had at 40. More willingness to speak the truth plainly. More patience for what actually matters.”
What this Work is For
The people I work with are dealing with real things.
Relationships that are strained or ending.
Health challenges, their own or someone they love.
A career or financial situation that no longer makes sense.
A sense of purpose that has gone quiet.
The particular exhaustion of those who hold space for others, who guide, teach and support, and who rarely experience that steadiness directed back at them.
Beneath all of it, I find the same thing.
A longing to understand what is happening at a deeper level. A growing awareness that the answers they are seeking are not outside themselves. A sense that consciousness is already moving in their lives, asking to be understood, asking to be met with more awareness, more honesty, more presence.
Spiritual awakening is not separate from these human challenges.
It is precisely what equips us to face them.
I offer a steady, honest space in which people can develop their own inner awareness, and trust what that awareness reveals. Not a set of beliefs to adopt. A practice of genuine self-knowledge, and the courage to live from it.
“We are more than who we think we are. And once we start exploring that, life changes its focus entirely.”
Ways to Grow with Misha
There are many ways to begin, and many ways to go deeper. What matters is not where you start but that something in you has said yes to the inquiry.
